Going through my old Heavy Metal magazines (the first year, 1977) before putting them back into storage again and I came across a lot of sweet Mutant Future / Gamma World inspiration along the way.

I swear this one was inspirational to the attack on the city in the Taarna sequence of the movie.

And seriously, there’s a beholder over on the upper right of the last frame… Beholders, gods and helicopters, oh my!
