Surprisingly to some, I am not the primary mapper for most of the games I play in. But I do have the honour of the job in the most recent 3.5 game I’m playing in on Tuesday nights.
This map is of the first dungeon we explored in said game – a fallen dwarven outpost occupied by a necromancer most foul and his slaves (whom we freed) and minions (whom we returned to the grave).
These maps were drawn in pencil in my moleskine notebook (which didn’t really quite have enough room without some creative efforts in drawing the linkages) and were then scanned and resized in the gimp.
Credit for the actual dungeon design goes to our DM, Nick. I’m just the mapper in these games.
I collect some sketches for a handout – a sketchbook from a (dead) dwarven explorer. This is awesome stuff!
