The proofs are here and the book is now for sale!
Dyson’s Delves is a 6″ x 9″ 149 page book of adventures and maps for your old school game. Five full adventures from the site begin the book, followed by 44 dungeon maps each with a lined page opposite it for the owner to stock and key the maps or just to write notes about the dungeon for his or her own game.
I decided to run with the theme of the old Judge’s Guild books like Fifty Starbases – each presents a map and a lined page that you use to indicate where the starbase in question is as well as what is important about it in your games. You can photocopy the maps for your own use, but I honestly recommend writing directly into the book. There’s nothing quite like the feel of pulling down a nice hardcover book of dungeons for your sandbox campaign instead of referring to a collection of printouts and notes.
Both editions contain reformatted versions of the classic mini-mega dungeon “Dyson’s Delve”, “The Charmed Grotto”, “Ruins of the Gorgon”, “The Worm’s Gullet” and “Erdea Manor”, followed by 44 unkeyed maps. The Limited hardcover edition contains an additional adventure at the back of the book, “The Twisted Halls of Mornard’s Revenge” which is designed for near name-level adventurers.
The perfectbound edition is $20, and the limited hardcover edition is $40. All proceeds of the limited edition hardcover will be invested immediately into paying for my internet connectivity so the blog will not die!
I ordered my limited hardcover edition!!!
Thank you! I profit almost exactly $20 for each hardcover sold, so your purchase has paid for a third of January’s internet bill. With a hundred sales I’ll be able to pay for internet for almost 3 years.
Me too. Congrats Dyson! I hope this is the first of a series!
Looks really neat! Maybe I can get this as a Christmas present!

Not at this time, no. I’ll probably make a post about it in a few days regarding my decision making process and other factors. But for now, just take it that I’m too old school for that.
Agh! But you’re making me write in a book! A real book with very pretty pictures!

Fabulous! I’ll grab a hardcover as soon as Christmas has finished wreaking havoc upon my wallet. How limited is the limited edition?
Oh, it says right there. 100 copies. D’oh.
Wow! Everything I had hoped it would be and more! Absolutely beautiful. I’m seriously thinking that this will be a classic. -SMK-

Great news! I can’t wait for the holidays to be over and for me to settle again so that I can order my copy!
Nabbed a copy, too…despite me promising not to spend any more money on Lulu or RPGnow. Dammit!
Reblogged this on Age of Ruins and commented:
I mentioned this on the AoR Twitter account last night, but it deserves a mention here as well. As I’ve mentioned before, Dyson’s maps are just plain awesome, and the format of his new book makes it a great resource. Well worth your money!

Bought both, giving one to my DM, keeping one for myself. May your internets stay connected!
With the dungeon on one side and the lined page on the other, my first thought was that you should consider publishing a spiral-bound version. That way it would sit open nicely on the table.
I like this idea a lot.
WoOt! I scored! This might end up
Being the Christmas present my geek bros get. I hope this works out fantastic for you Dyson!
Maybe this will get you get some commissions from 3pp or even Paizo or WotC.
Anyway, Merry Christmas and happy holidays and stuff!
