Yesterday I posted that awesome (IMO, at least) isometric version of the OSR logo. But that wasn’t my first attempt to put pen to paper on iso graph paper. I was messing around with the design implementations for a couple of hours first, and some of the little rough pieces are pretty awesome looking.
Awesome enough that I drew up a full dungeon level next, but with the way my map posts are scheduled, it won’t be making an appearance on the blog until September.
You need to post more often then! 😀
I recently underwent a dramatic change in my mapping habits… I have dispensed with graph paper completely and everything is drawn freehand from an isometric perspective. So far I love the results, except for the one caveat that nothing can ever be on the near side wall or the back side of a structure unless I do multiple angles of the same place (which I do not do – different scales yes, different angles no).
I LOVE this! Even the crosshatch achieves new levels (not a pun, but it works) of awesome. More please.
