Last week I posted my first of two posts of my “red phase” experiments where I used the red pen for a different purpose than just highlighting specific parts of the map where red was needed.
This is the counter-point to last week’s piece where I reversed the work of the two pens – the red pen for the dungeon, black for the background hashing.

Dyson’s Red Phase Part 2
Man, I like this! The red lends a sense of urgency to the dungeon rooms, as if any moment wandering monsters are going to come barrelling out of a hidden chamber while alarms blare.. 🙂
Interesting effect, but for me it’s not as effective as the red hatching and black ink for the rooms and passages. Trying to decide if it’s a contrast issue or my red-green color blindness.
