I got an awesome email from Dom Bonnani a week or so ago, and totally forgot the share the awesome here.
I wanted to thank you and Kevin Campbell for making my group’s next massive dungeon crawl possible. Ever since I picked up a second job, I haven’t had time to build (good looking) maps from scratch. Since I came across your site in August, your maps have taken the pressure off every once in a while.
This weekend, we’re off, so I had a chance to put together a few of Kevin Campbell’s maps to make one giant kobold infested dwarven emerald mine.
The awesome? Check out the remix he made out of several of Kevin’s maps:
I like looking at Kevin’s maps, but from a usability perspective – basically worthless. Which is too bad, really.
I’ve used a number of your maps in this way as well, piecing them together to create larger connected areas as makes sense. I have my own Dwarven ruins that the PCs have been exploring. It’s nice to just have maps on hand that I can use for inspiration, both on the fly and to use to inspire my own mapping.
