We are in the last 9 hours of the DungeonMorph Dice kickstarter – so perfect timing to release level two of the Geomorphic Halls!
- Geomorphic Halls – Level 1
- Geomorphic Halls – Level 2
- Geomorphic Halls – Level 3
- Geomorphic Halls – Level 4
This one takes a cluster of 4 geomorphs as the heart of the level. Since so many geomorphs interconnected can result in a lot of unreachable areas, there are two different staircases down from this level to level 3 (so one should be accessible), and if all else fails, there’s still that one staircase down from level 1 that bypasses level 2 completely.
I love the various configurations and neat rooms that are available for the structure thanks to the thousand+ geomorphs out there now that use this 10 x 10 design – but I also made sure to include some sections in the level that will be memorable on their own (particularly the great hall on the north side and the thin diagonal halls to the tiered chamber on the upper left).
But yeah – last 8 hours! DungeonMorph Dice. GET SOME.
The maps on Dyson’s Dodecahedron are released for free personal use thanks to the support of awesome patrons like you over on Patreon. Every month 400 patrons come together to make these releases possible. You can help too in order to keep the flow of maps coming and to improve their quality – and even get a map of your own!
Brilliant! How would you go about re-shuffling the layout?
Just grab four geomorphs and stick em on. Maybe keep one or two the same and rotate them.
Thanks, I was pondering it from a thematic angle (but I didn’t make it clear!). A dungeon with rotating sections would be cool, especially if the PCs were inside and unaware…
If you want to make it worse, you could do what Paizo did in one of their APs: Not only did the dungeon have sections that rotated but there was an enemy stalking the PCs that knew both the layout and how the rotation controls worked.
That sounds pretty cool. I like to mess with players who draw maps every now and then, I did make a dungeon out of geomorphs once that was effectively a cube so the edges didn’t join up like the players thought. I really should have added a minotaur!
